What VW hoses do you make?

Mainly fuel filler neck and tank hoses - for Golf MK1, Jetta 79-83, Scirocco MK1 and MK2, Golf Cabriolet 79-83, Caddy Van 83-92, Beetle Classic 1968-79, Baywindow Bus 1972-79 and Transporter - plus the Filtech air filter induction kit for the Golf MK6 1.4 TSI. Several are listed against OE numbers such as 211201125 and 261201125.

Why do VW filler hoses need replacing?

Because the original rubber predates ethanol-blended fuel and, on these cars, is now decades old. Ethanol attacks it from the inside, so the hose can look sound externally while perishing internally - and a filler neck leak drops fuel onto the underside of the car. It is a common and worthwhile job.

How do I order the right one?

Match on model and year, because VW changed filler arrangements frequently - Golf MK1 75-83, Scirocco MK1 and MK2, Jetta 79-83 and Golf Cabriolet 79-83 all have separate listings. The most reliable method is the OE number on the old hose. If you cannot find one, send photos with a tape measure alongside.

Are they compatible with E5 and E10?

Yes - these are built to SAE J30 R6 fuel-rated specification and handle modern ethanol-blended petrol. That is the main reason to replace an original hose on a classic VW: the fuel available now is not the fuel the car was built for, and the original compound is not equal to it.

Silicone or rubber for a filler hose?

The silicone versions will not perish or harden with age, which matters on a car that may sit for long periods, and they cope with ethanol indefinitely. Rubber is the cheaper like-for-like option. On a filler neck - awkward to access and unpleasant if it leaks - the silicone version is worth the extra.

What if my VW model is not listed?

We manufacture bespoke silicone hose to order and classic VWs are a regular part of that. Send us the old part, or a sketch with bore, length and angles, plus what flows through it. Even a badly perished hose usually works as a pattern if it holds its shape. Small quantities are welcome.
