Silicone Fuel & Oil Hose is a high-performance, chemically resistant hose designed for demanding automotive, marine, and industrial fluid handling applications. Manufactured with a durable silicone inner and outer layer reinforced by polyester braid, this straight hose provides excellent flexibility and dimensional stability under pressure. Withstanding continuous service temperatures from -50°C to +250°C, the hose is engineered for both extreme cold and high heat environments while resisting hardening, cracking, and fuel degradation. Its robust multi-ply wall construction ensures strength and reliability, while the smooth bore supports efficient fluid transfer of fuels, oils, and other hydrocarbons. Supplied in convenient 1-metre lengths, silicone fuel and oil hose combines versatility and durability for installations requiring consistent performance and long service life. Often referred to as silicone oil hose, silicone fuel line, or polyester reinforced silicone tubing, it meets SAE J20 R3 standards for quality and safety.

Key Features:

  • Material (Inner & Outer): High-grade silicone for temperature and chemical resistance.

  • Reinforcement: Polyester braid for pressure stability and strength.

  • Construction: 3–4 ply design with smooth bore for efficient flow.

  • Operating Temperature: -50°C to +250°C (peak +250°C).

  • Internal Diameter Range: 6 mm to 63 mm.

  • Working Pressure: From 10 bar (small bore) down to 4 bar (large bore), size dependent.

  • Bursting Pressure: Typically 3x working pressure (up to 30 bar).

  • Length Supplied: 1 metre straight sections.

  • Standard: SAE J20 R3 compliant.

The multi-ply silicone and polyester reinforced structure provides exceptional resilience to both pressure and vacuum conditions while maintaining flexibility across a wide temperature range. Unlike conventional rubber hoses, silicone fuel and oil hose resists cracking, ozone, and degradation from fuels and lubricants, ensuring longer service intervals. Its smooth bore design minimises flow restriction, making it suitable for both high-performance automotive applications and industrial fuel transfer systems. The combination of polyester reinforcement and thick silicone walls supports stable working pressures up to 10 bar in smaller sizes and reliable performance under continuous operation. With burst pressures up to three times the working limit, the hose delivers a robust safety margin for high-demand installations where dependability is critical.

Typical applications include automotive fuel and oil delivery systems, marine fuel lines, motorsport oil cooling and breather setups, industrial lubrication transfer, and machinery maintenance. The hose is also widely used in performance upgrades and custom engineering projects requiring a durable, heat-resistant, and flexible medium for hydrocarbon handling. With its strong chemical resistance and compliance to SAE J20 R3, silicone fuel and oil hose is well-suited to industries such as automotive, marine, agriculture, and industrial manufacturing. Keywords: silicone fuel hose, silicone oil hose, polyester reinforced silicone tubing, high-temperature fuel line, industrial fluid transfer hose, SAE J20 R3 silicone hose.

How to measure ID

ID OD wall reinforcement plies ID = bore · OD = ID + (2 × wall)
1
Measure the pipe, not the old hose
Heat and age make a used hose swell and go out of round. Take your reading across the metal outlet the hose slides onto — that measurement is your ID.
2
Use vernier calipers
Set the outer jaws across the widest point of the pipe. A tape measure round a curve reads low by a millimetre or two — enough to buy the wrong size.
3
Take three readings, keep the largest
Rotate 60° between each. If they disagree the pipe is oval; size to the biggest figure so the hose still seals.
4
Round to the nearest listed bore
Silicone stretches slightly. If you land between sizes, go down to the smaller bore for a tight seal — never up.
Order by ID, always. Every hose on this site is listed by internal diameter. OD is given for clearance only — it changes with wall thickness and ply count, so it is never the ordering size. On reducers, quote both ends, largest first.

✅ High Temp ✅ E5/E10 ✅ High Pressure

What size do I order?

Order by internal diameter, matched to the outside diameter of the pipe stub or joiner it slides over. Measure the pipe with vernier callipers rather than the old hose, which stretches in service and reads large. Available in internal diameters from 6mm to 63mm, in black.

What is it rated for?

Continuous service from -60C to +180C, built to SAE J30 R6. Working pressure runs from 10 bar on the smallest bore down to 4 bar on the largest, with burst pressure from 30 bar down to 12 bar across the 6mm to 63mm range. Smaller bores are 3 ply and larger bores step up to 4 ply - each size is built with the reinforcement it needs, so you do not have to specify it.

Is it compatible with E5 and E10 petrol?

Yes - the fluorosilicone construction handles modern ethanol-blended petrol, diesel, oils and fuel vapour. Ethanol attacks unsuitable hose from the inside, so an older line can look sound externally while breaking down internally.

Can I bend it round a corner?

Only gently. Straight hose has a minimum bend radius and the larger the bore the larger it is - force it tighter and the bore kinks, restricting flow and creating a stress point. For a real change of direction use a moulded elbow; we stock 45, 90, 135 and 180 degrees.

How do I cut it cleanly?

Use a sharp blade or a dedicated hose cutter and cut square in one decisive stroke. Never use a hacksaw - it drags the reinforcement plies and leaves a frayed edge that will not seal. If you have several cuts to make, a proper hose cutter pays for itself quickly.

What colours are available?

black. Colour is cosmetic and makes no difference to the specification. If you are building a full system, order everything together - shades are consistent within a batch but can differ slightly between them.
