Ducting Plastic Connectors & Joiners

What ducting connectors do you stock?

Male connectors for polyurethane ducting in 50mm to 200mm outside diameter, and reducing male connectors covering 20 size pairings from 65mm to 50mm up to 200mm to 150mm. Both are thick-walled ABS, available in black, white, red and blue.

What are they for?

Joining flexible ducting to further ducting, or to equipment - fans, extractors, machine outlets, wall vents - in ventilation, dust extraction and general air-handling systems. The reducing versions let you step between two duct diameters without an adaptor stack.

How do I fit one?

Slide the ducting over the connector and secure with a worm drive clip or a ducting clamp at each side. On helical ducting, position the clip so it bears on the wall between the wire coils rather than directly on top of a coil, which would deform it.

How do I size a connector?

Match the connector outside diameter to the internal diameter of the ducting sliding over it. On a reducing connector, that means checking both ends. Measure the duct bore rather than assuming - nominal sizes vary a little between duct types.

What are they made from?

ABS plastic, thick walled and 3D printed to order, which is why we can offer a wide size range and four colours without the tooling cost that injection moulding would involve. It also means unusual sizes are often possible if you ask.

What temperature will they take?

Around +105C for the ABS connectors, which covers general ventilation and extraction comfortably. They are not for hot process air or exhaust extraction - for that you need aluminium or silicone ducting and metal connectors. Tell us your air temperature if you are unsure.
