PVC & Layflat Hoses

PVC & Layflat Hoses, designed to revolutionize fluid conveyance across diverse applications. Crafted with precision and innovation, these hoses are the epitome of reliability and performance, offering solutions that cater to industrial, agricultural, and commercial needs.

These hoses are engineered to ensure efficient fluid transfer. Whether you're handling water, chemicals, irrigation, or drainage, these hoses guarantee seamless flow, minimal friction loss, and reliable operation. The layflat design allows for easy storage, transportation, and deployment, making them an ideal choice for temporary fluid transfer setups.

Built from high-quality PVC materials, these hoses boast exceptional durability, resistance to abrasion, and longevity. Our collection offers hoses capable of withstanding varying pressures and temperatures, ensuring they remain dependable even in demanding environments.

With a wide range of internal diameters, lengths, and configurations, we cater to your specific project requirements. From standard PVC hoses to heavy-duty layflat options, finding the perfect fit for your application has never been easier.

Which PVC hose do I need?

For pressure and delivery, reinforced braided hose at 4-10 bar. For suction or crush resistance, wire reinforced at 3-12 bar. For low-pressure gravity feeds, unreinforced clear. For pump discharge and irrigation, layflat at 4 bar. For gas, PVC LPG hose. For water-fed poles, the high visibility pole hose at 20 bar. For air and dust, corrugated ducting or polyurethane. Tell us the job and we will confirm.

What is the difference between reinforced, wire reinforced and unreinforced?

Unreinforced is plain PVC tube for low-pressure transfer only. Reinforced has polyester yarn braid, which gives it a working pressure rating but no collapse resistance - it is a delivery hose. Wire reinforced has a steel helix, which resists crushing and vacuum, so it works on both the suction and delivery sides of a pump. Choosing the wrong one is the most common mistake.

What temperature will PVC hose handle?

The range is -10C to +65C across the PVC products. That is the main limitation of PVC as a material and it is worth checking against your application - hot water, process fluid or anything near an engine or exhaust will need a rubber or silicone hose instead. PVC also stiffens noticeably in cold weather, which matters if the hose is handled outdoors in winter.

Can I use PVC hose for fuel or oil?

The unreinforced clear hose is listed for low-pressure transfer of water, air, fuel and oils, but for any permanent or pressurised fuel line you should use a proper rubber fuel hose to SAE J30 R6 or a fluorosilicone-lined silicone hose. For LPG specifically, use our PVC LPG hose to ISO 3821 or the rubber equivalent - never a general-purpose hose.

Why is layflat hose only for discharge?

Because it has no wall stiffness when empty, so any negative pressure collapses it flat and starves the pump. Layflat is designed to be rolled up compactly, which is exactly why it cannot resist suction. Put layflat on a pump outlet only. If you need one hose that does both sides, use the wire reinforced hose instead.

Is any of it safe for drinking water?

The standard industrial hoses are not certified for potable water or food contact. The pole hose uses a non-toxic white PVC bore for window cleaning work. If you need a certified potable or food-grade hose, tell us the application and we will point you at an appropriately certified product - it is not something to guess at.
