Silicone Fuel & Oil Straights

Silicone Fuel & Oil Straights are the solution to flexible and reliable fuel and oil systems. From the Classic Wrapped 1 Metre Straight to the 1 Metre Fluorolined Straight and Fluorolined Couplers, we've got the silicone hoses you need for your fuel and oil applications.

Get ready for easy and dependable connections with our Classic Wrapped 1 Metre Straight – a simple, one-meter length hose that's perfect for straightforward fuel and oil setups. No fuss, just a reliable straight hose to get the job done.

For added durability, check out our 1 Metre Fluorolined Straight. It's designed to handle fuel and oil with a fluorolined interior, providing extra resistance and strength for a longer-lasting solution.

When it comes to connecting hoses, our Fluorolined Couplers are here for you. They make joining hoses a breeze, ensuring a snug fit and preventing leaks in your fuel and oil systems.

What is in this range?

Three products for straight fuel and oil runs: the 1 metre Fuel & Oil straight in 6mm to 63mm, the fluorolined coupler in 6mm to 63mm across 20 lengths from 50mm to 950mm, and the Classic Wrapped 1 metre straight in 13mm to 51mm. There is also a fluorosilicone off-cut mixed box for short pieces. Everything is black.

Which one should I buy?

Buy the 1 metre straight if you need to cut several lengths or make up a long run. Buy a coupler if you need one specific short join between two pipe stubs - it saves cutting and gives you an exact length. Buy the Classic Wrapped straight if the hose is visible on a classic or restoration build and a smooth modern finish would look wrong.

What makes them suitable for fuel and oil?

A fluorosilicone inner lining. Standard silicone is excellent with coolant, water and air but swells and breaks down in contact with petrol, diesel and oil. The fluorosilicone liner gives hydrocarbon resistance inside while keeping silicone's heat resistance and long life outside. They are built to SAE J30 R6 with polyester braid reinforcement.

Are they compatible with E5 and E10 petrol?

Yes - the fluorosilicone liner handles modern ethanol-blended petrol, diesel, oils and fuel vapour. This matters more than people expect: ethanol attacks unsuitable hose from the inside, so an old line can look perfect externally while degrading internally and shedding material into the fuel system.

What temperature range do they cover?

-60C to +180C. That is a narrower top end than plain silicone at +250C, and it is the trade-off for hydrocarbon resistance. It is still far beyond what rubber fuel hose can manage and comfortably covers normal engine bay temperatures. If you have an unusually hot application, tell us and we will advise.

Can I use them for oil breathers and catch cans?

Yes, and you should. A crankcase breather carries oil mist, which will destroy plain silicone over time even though nothing liquid is obviously flowing through it. This is one of the most common places people use the wrong hose. Fluorolined hose is the correct choice for any breather or catch-can plumbing.
