What rubber hoses do you stock?

LPG hose to ISO 3821, airline hose to BS5118/2, vacuum air brake servo hose to BSAU110, radiator and heater hose and wire reinforced radiator hose to SAE J20 R3, marine fuel hose to ISO 7840 A1, multi-purpose and cotton braided fuel and oil hose to SAE J30 R6, stainless overbraid fuel hose, coupling joiners and off-cut mixed boxes.

How do I choose the right one?

By medium first, because the materials are not interchangeable. LPG needs ISO 3821. Compressed air needs BS5118/2. Coolant needs EPDM to J20 R3. Fuel and oil need nitrile to J30 R6. Marine fuel needs ISO 7840 A1. Brake servo vacuum needs BSAU110. Using a general-purpose hose in place of a certified one is a genuine safety issue.

What is special about LPG hose?

It is built to ISO 3821 with an oil-resistant synthetic rubber inner layer and is date stamped, in 5mm to 13mm bores. The date stamp matters: LPG hose degrades with age even when it looks sound, so it must be replaced at the marked interval regardless of appearance. If there is no legible date on your existing hose, replace it now.

Why can't I use airline hose for a brake servo?

A servo line runs under vacuum, not pressure, and needs reinforcement specifically to resist collapse under negative pressure. An airline hose used on a servo can slowly draw shut, giving a hard brake pedal that comes and goes - a dangerous and hard-to-diagnose fault. Use the BSAU110 servo hose for that job.

Are your fuel hoses E5 and E10 compatible?

Yes - the nitrile-based fuel hoses handle modern ethanol-blended petrol as well as diesel and oils. It matters most on older vehicles, where the original hose compound predates ethanol blending. Ethanol attacks unsuitable rubber from the inside, so a line can look perfect externally while degrading internally and shedding debris into the fuel system.

How should gas and fuel hose be secured?

Proper clips at each end, positioned squarely over the barb or nozzle - never a push fit alone. On fuel lines in boats or enclosed spaces, two stainless clips per joint. Leak-test gas connections with soapy water before use; bubbles mean a leak. Never test with a flame, and never operate electrical switches if you smell gas.
