Oil-Resistant Hose

Oil-resistant hose built to handle demanding fuel and oil transfer tasks. Suitable for automotive, marine, and industrial use.

What is multi-purpose fuel and oil hose?

A flexible rubber hose for the safe transfer of petrol, diesel, lubricating oils and other hydrocarbons, built to SAE J30 R6. It is anti-static, very flexible, and available in 5mm to 25mm internal diameter, cut from 1 metre up to a 50 metre full coil.

What does anti-static mean and why does it matter?

Fuel flowing through a hose generates static electricity. An anti-static hose provides a conductive path so that charge dissipates rather than building up and discharging as a spark. It matters most on higher-flow transfer and decanting, where the volumes involved generate more charge.

Is it E5 and E10 compatible?

Yes - the rubber compound is formulated for modern ethanol-blended fuels as well as diesel and oils. Ethanol attacks unsuitable older hose from the inside, so an original fuel line can look perfectly sound externally while breaking down internally and shedding debris into the system.

What can I use it for?

General fuel and oil lines in automotive, marine, agricultural and industrial use - fuel feeds and returns, oil transfer, decanting and general hydrocarbon handling. It is not a marine fuel line for a boat's permanent installation, which needs ISO 7840 A1.

Why can't I use it on a boat?

Because a fuel leak on a boat collects in the bilge rather than draining away. Permanently installed marine fuel lines need ISO 7840 A1, which is fire tested and low permeation. We stock that separately in 5mm to 51mm. Surveyors and insurers do check this.

How should it be secured?

Proper fuel hose clips, one at each end, positioned squarely over the barb or spigot. Support long runs with rubber-lined P-clips so the hose cannot chafe against a bracket, panel or wiring loom, and keep it well clear of exhaust components.
