Hi-Visibility Pole Hoses

Enhance safety and efficiency with our Hi-Visibility Pole Hoses, designed for professional window cleaners. Available in both 6mm and 8mm diameters, these durable and flexible hoses ensure a steady water flow for smooth operation. The fluorescent orange and yellow colour options improve visibility, reducing trip hazards and making them easy to spot in busy work environments. Built to withstand daily use, these pole hoses are ideal for water-fed pole systems, providing reliable performance and high durability. Upgrade your setup with a hose that stands out for all the right reasons!

What is pole hose and what makes it different?

It is the hose that feeds water up a telescopic pole on a water-fed pole window cleaning system. It has to be light enough not to weigh the pole down, flexible enough to coil and uncoil all day, and strong enough to take pump pressure. Ours is reinforced PVC rated to 20 bar with a smooth non-toxic white bore.

Why high visibility?

Safety. A hose running across a pavement, driveway or forecourt is a trip hazard, and a black or clear hose is very easy to miss - particularly in low light or on wet tarmac. A fluorescent hose is visible to the public and to you. It also makes the hose much easier to find and pack up at the end of a job.

What sizes and lengths do you supply?

5mm, 6mm and 8mm internal diameter, cut to order from 1 metre up to a 100 metre full coil. 6mm and 8mm are the standard choices for pole work. 8mm gives better flow and less pressure drop over a long run; 6mm is lighter and easier to handle on the pole. Many operators use 8mm on the ground run and 6mm up the pole.

What colours are available?

Six fluorescent colours from orange through to pink. Beyond visibility, having a choice is genuinely useful for a multi-van operation - colour coding hoses per van or per operator stops them getting mixed up, and makes it obvious whose hose is on the reel.

What pressure and temperature will it take?

20 bar working pressure over -10C to +65C. The 20 bar rating is well above what a typical water-fed pole pump delivers, which gives a healthy safety margin and means the hose is not working at its limit all day. Bear in mind that PVC stiffens noticeably in cold weather, which affects handling in winter.

How is it constructed?

A smooth bore white non-toxic PVC inner layer, triple polyester yarn reinforcement, and a fluorescent PVC outer. The smooth bore keeps flow efficient and does not trap deposits, which matters when you are running purified water. The triple yarn reinforcement is what gives it the 20 bar rating.
