What is unreinforced PVC hose?
Plain clear soft PVC tube with no braid or helix in the wall. It is light, very flexible and inexpensive, and it is intended for low-pressure work only - gravity feeds, drains, overflows, breathers, tank vents and light transfer. Built to BS6066 in 3mm to 25mm bores.

What pressure will it take?
Very little - it has no reinforcement, so there is no meaningful working pressure rating. Treat it as a low-pressure and gravity-feed product. If your line is pressurised at all, use the braided reinforced version, which is rated 4-10 bar depending on bore.

Can I use it under suction?
No - it will collapse immediately. Unreinforced tube has no wall stiffness whatsoever. For anything on the suction side of a pump, you need a hose with a steel wire helix, such as our PVC wire reinforced hose in 10mm to 51mm.

What is it good for?
Drain and overflow lines, tank vents and breathers, gravity feeds, laboratory and brewing work, aquarium and pond top-up lines, and windscreen washer tubing. Anywhere flexibility and clarity matter more than pressure. It is also the cheapest way to run a low-pressure line.

Can it carry fuel or oil?
It is listed for low-pressure transfer of water, air, fuel and oils, but for any permanent or pressurised fuel line you should use proper rubber fuel hose to SAE J30 R6 or fluorolined silicone. Unreinforced PVC is not a fuel line, and it is not what you want in an engine bay.

What sizes and lengths do you stock?
11 sizes from 3mm to 25mm internal diameter, cut to order from 1 metre up to a 30 metre full coil. Order by internal diameter to match the barb or spigot it pushes onto - it should be a firm push fit, not a loose slide.
