What is in an off-cut mixed box?

An assortment of short sections in mixed diameters and lengths, all the same specification as our full-length product. There are four: standard silicone hose, fluorosilicone hose, rubber radiator hose and aluminium tube. The silicone boxes come in three colours and 3 and 4 ply.

Who are they for?

Workshops, garages, farms, fabricators and anyone who keeps a project going. When you need a 60mm piece of 32mm hose at five o'clock on a Friday, having a box on the shelf is the difference between finishing the job and waiting for a delivery. They are stock, not a bargain bin.

Are they cheaper than buying lengths?

Considerably. You are buying material that would otherwise be trim, so the price per piece is a fraction of the equivalent cut lengths. The trade-off is that you take the sizes as they come rather than choosing them - which is fine for a spares box and no good if you need a specific size today.

Can I choose the sizes in a box?

No, the contents vary - that is what makes them affordable. If you need particular sizes, buy cut lengths or couplers in exactly the dimensions you want. Many customers do both: specific sizes for the job in hand, and a box on the shelf for whatever comes up next.

Is the quality the same as full-length hose?

Yes - same material, same construction, same standards. The silicone boxes are SAE J20 R3 reinforced hose, the fluorosilicone is the fuel and oil rated equivalent, the rubber is SAE J20 R3 EPDM radiator hose, and the aluminium is T6063 with a 1.6mm wall. They are offcuts, not seconds.

Which box should I buy?

Silicone for coolant, air and general work. Fluorosilicone if you do fuel, oil, breather or catch-can work - standard silicone is no good there. Rubber radiator for like-for-like coolant repairs on standard vehicles. Aluminium tube for fabrication and making up hard pipe sections.
