What is it for?

Tightening and loosening worm drive and mini hose clips by their 7mm hex head, using a thumb drive rather than a screwdriver blade. It gets the clip properly seated without chewing the screw slot.

What size does it drive?

7mm hex nut, which is the head on our worm drive clips, mini clips and most standard hose clamps.

How is it different from the flexible and rigid drivers?

This is the plastic thumb version - short, light and cheap, and the one that lives in the toolbox or the glovebox. The rigid driver gives more torque, and the flexible shaft version is the one that reaches clips at an angle you cannot get a straight tool onto.

What is it made from?

Solid ABS plastic with an ergonomic handle and thumb drive. ABS gives good stiffness and impact resistance at low weight, and it will not corrode sitting in a damp toolbox.

What temperature will it take?

-20C to +105C. It is a hand tool rather than a fitted part, so that only matters if you leave it somewhere hot - do not rest it on an exhaust manifold.

Will it give me enough torque?

For coolant, water and low-pressure air clips, yes. For a T-bolt clamp or anything you need to lean on, use a metal driver or a socket - a clip should be firm, not crushed, and a plastic driver is a reasonable check on over-tightening.
